Who is ringing in the New Year with you? Who do you wish could be with you, but isn't there?
I rang in the new year with my son, the couple I massacred a Thanksgiving dinner with a few years ago, and a couple of other friends, which--since we've all become parents--works. None of us are very big on drinking (we'll enjoy a little on occasion) so we put on a pot of coffee and just enjoy being together. It truly is how I like to ring in the new year, with very close friends and family.
